The Toppin Family Foundation exists to create opportunity where it is needed most—supporting underprivileged children and families while investing in student-athletes who face financial hardship. We believe access to support, education, and athletics can change lives and strengthen our community for generations to come.

Vision, Cause, and Goals Many children and families in our community face ongoing financial hardship that limits access to basic necessities, educational resources, and opportunities for long-term stability. Economic barriers disproportionately affect underprivileged youth, contributing to gaps in academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being.

Student-athletes from low-income families often encounter “pay-to-play” barriers that prevent them from participating in sports programs that foster discipline, teamwork, leadership, and physical and mental health. Without financial support for fees, equipment, training, and related expenses, talented and motivated students are forced to forgo athletic participation—reducing their chances for scholarships, academic engagement, and future success. We will: provide targeted financial support, remove barriers to essential resources, strengthen family stability and access to basic needs, and enable children to focus on learning and healthy development.
